Protagonist: LUCIFER
Sin: Pride/self-interest

PRIDE: Trump, Johnson, Farage… Modern politics, self-serving cunts. Doing it for self-glory and with little / no consideration of what’s best for people. Theme is about modern politics, and how vanity leads (Trump, Boris Johnson, Brexit et al), and politicians stand for personal status, rather than for the good of the people... House of Cards, and how being, and staying, in power is more important to people than the effect they can make with that power.

This is reflected in the God/Satan story, and Satan is proud of himself and his children for restoring him. His restoration isn't to "save" man from God; it's purely to crush and devour God's influence and assert his own. In the modern world he/chaos has usurped God, and now has earth as his domain. Bit of a chest-beater, this one. His pride means that this isn't enough; he wants to destroy God, whose power is now tied up in belief. If all man turns from God, God is defeated and powerless. Satan's disdain for man bubbles just under, he will turn all men against each other to sow and develop hate. Man worshipped God, and God turned from Satan due to his love of man: Satan's children and his gift to God.
